Punjab And Haryana High Court Recruitment 2025 Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill the required educational qualifications and age criteria as specified in the official notification. The eligibility conditions for each post are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
- Peon (Residential): Matric pass + 1 year diploma in Cooking + 3 years cooking experience in hotel/restaurant/govt dept.
- Reader (Legal): 10+2 with 60% in English + LL.B + Computer proficiency.
Age Limit (as on 04/08/2025):
- Peon (Residential): 18 to 27 years (relaxation for SC/ST/BC, Ex-servicemen, departmental employees)
- Reader (Legal): 35 to 40 years (relaxation for Ex-servicemen, departmental posts have no age limit)

PHC Peon and Reader Selection Process 2025

Peon (Residential):
- Practical Cooking Test: 80 Marks (Minimum 50% to qualify)
- Interview: 20 Marks (Minimum 10 marks to qualify)
- Final merit = Total of both
Reader (Legal):
- Written Exam: 3 papers (English – 50, Civil Law – 100, Criminal Law – 100)
- Computer Proficiency Test: Word Processing (10 marks), Spreadsheet (10 marks) – qualifying
- Viva-Voce: 30 Marks (Minimum 35% to qualify)
