The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced 29 job openings for Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts, with 10 of them reserved for women.

• Department:- Office of the Advocate General, Odisha
• Total posts:- 29 (including 10 for women)
• Unreserved (UR): 10 (3 for women)
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 8 (3 for women)
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 11 (4 for women)
• PWD (40 %+ disability): 1 (Category III)
• Ex-Servicemen: 1

PWD and Ex-servicemen candidates will be counted within their respective categories.

OPSC ASO Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
• Knowledge of computer applications is required

Language Requirement:-

• Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and have passed Odia in one of the approved formats like 10th/ME standard.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):-

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 32 years
  (Born between 2nd Jan 1993 and 1st Jan 2004)

Age Relaxation:-

• SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
• PwD (40%+): 10 years
• PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

OPSC ASO Selection Process 2025

• Written Examination (Objective-type MCQs) – 400 marks
• Skill Test in Computer Application (Practical) – 50 marks (Qualifying)
