NIT Jamshedpur Non-Teaching Notification 2025: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur has released the official notification for 33 Non-Teaching vacancies through Advt. No. NITJSR/ESS/CD/2025/1287 on 17th June 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online for various Group A, B, and C posts at www.nitjsr.ac.in till 11th July 2025.

A total of 33 vacancies are to be filled at NIT Jamshedpur Non-Teaching Posts. Post-wise breakdown is given below:
Group A:
- Principal Scientific Officer – 1 (UR)
- SAS Officer – 1 (UR)
- Assistant Librarian – 1 (UR)
- Assistant Registrar – 3 (2 UR, 1 OBC)
Group B:
- Technical Assistant – 5 (UR/EWS)
- Junior Engineer (Civil) – 1 (UR)
- Library & Info Assistant – 1 (UR)

Group C:

- Group A: ₹2000/- for UR/OBC/EWS
- Group B: ₹1000/- for UR/OBC/EWS
- Group C: ₹500/- for UR/OBC/EWS
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Exempted from fee
NIT Jamshedpur Non-Teaching Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Varies by post. Examples:
- Principal Scientific Officer: B.E./B.Tech. or M.Sc./MCA with 15 years’ experience
- Technical Assistant: B.E/B.Tech/MCA/Diploma/B.Sc.
- Junior Assistant: 10+2 with typing speed of 35 wpm
Age Limit (as on 11/07/2025)
- Group A: Max 56 years
- Group B: Max 30 years
- Group C: Max 27–33 years (as per post)
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ExSM as per GoI rules
Selection Process for NIT Jamshedpur Recruitment 2025
Post-wise selection will include stages such as:
- CBT (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Skill/Trade Test
- Interview (for some posts)
For most Group B & C posts:
Stage I: CBT (100 marks)
- Part A: GA, Reasoning, Maths, Language, Computer Awareness
- Part B: Subject-specific (Technical/General Administration)
Stage II: Skill/Trade Test (Qualifying)
Salary Structure
Pay levels vary from Level 3 (₹21,700) to Level 14 (₹1,44,200) depending on the post and group.
