Indian Navy SSC IT Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
Gender: Both Men and Women are eligible.
Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates can apply.
Date of Birth: Candidates must be born between 02 Jan 2001 to 01 Jul 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in English in Class X or XII and:
- BE/BTech/MTech/MSc in CS/IT/Cyber Security/AI/Data Analytics/Software Systems, etc. OR
- MCA with BCA/BSc (Computer Science/IT)

How to Apply for Indian Navy SSC IT 2025?
The application process is completely online through the Indian Navy’s official recruitment portal. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
Step 2: Register and fill the online application form with accurate details from your 10th certificate.
Step 3: Upload scanned documents including marksheets, certificates, recent photo, and NCC certificate (if applicable).
Step 4: Submit the application form before the deadline.

Shortlisting of Applications:
- Based on normalized marks of qualifying degree.
- BE/BTech: Marks up to 5th semester; MTech/MCA/MSc: Marks of all semesters (or pre-final for ongoing courses).
SSB Interview:
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email/SMS.
- SSB details will be shared in the call-up letter.
- AC 3-tier train fare reimbursed (1st-time candidates).
Medical Examination:
- Candidates clearing SSB will undergo a medical test as per Navy standards.
Merit List:
- Final selection based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
Indian Navy SSC IT Jan 2026 Training and Terms of Service
Selected candidates will be inducted as Sub Lieutenants and will undergo training at INA, Ezhimala.
- Training: 6-week orientation followed by professional training.
- Tenure: Initial service of 10 years, extendable up to 14 years (10+2+2) based on performance and service requirement.

Indian Navy SSC IT Jan 2026 Salary and Benefits
Candidates joining the Indian Navy will be entitled to the following benefits:
- Pay: Basic Pay for Sub Lieutenant starts from ₹56,100/- along with allowances.
- Insurance: Covered under Naval Group Insurance Scheme (NGIS).
- Other Benefits: Gratuity, leave entitlement, and pension benefits as per existing rules.
