Income Tax Department Stenographer 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:-

• Candidates must be holding a regular post of Stenographer under the Central Government.
• Must be either:
  • Holding an analogous post regularly in the parent cadre or department, or
  • Having 10 years of regular service in Pay Level-4 (₹25,500–81,100) in the pay matrix or equivalent.

Age Limit:-

• The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date (30th April 2025).

Age Relaxation:-

• No specific relaxation mentioned; the maximum age remains 56 years.

Salary Details:-

• The selected candidates will be placed in Level-6 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, with a salary range of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, plus usual admissible allowances.
