IIT Kharagpur Recruitment 2025 Details
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has released Advertisement No. R/004/2025 dated May 21, 2025, inviting online applications from eligible Indian nationals for three urban planning positions under the Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning & Design (CoE-UPD), funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.

IIT Kharagpur Urban Planning Eligibility Criteria
1. Planning Research Fellow:-
- Qualification: Ph.D. in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Data Analytics, GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years as of the last date of application.
- Other: Willingness to travel extensively is required.
2. Senior Planning Executive:-
- Qualification: Master’s in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
3. Planning Executive:-
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge in GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.

- Fill out the online form carefully.

- Submit the form and download a printout for future reference.
Important: No hard copy of the application needs to be submitted. However, the printout will be required at the time of the interview/document verification.

IIT Kharagpur Urban Planning Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience.
- The selection may include screening test, written test, seminar presentation, group discussion, and personal interview depending on the number of applicants.
- Final selection will be subject to document verification.
