- Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 MCQs with 1 mark each and 0.25 negative marking
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) – Qualifying in nature (Minimum 10 out of 20 marks)
- Experience Weightage – Up to 5 marks based on relevant post-qualification experience
- Final Merit List – Based on CBT + Experience marks (CPT must be qualified)

ICMR NIN Assistant Salary
The selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-6 under the 7th CPC with a pay scale of Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400, along with other allowances. The probation period will be 2 years. Posting may be at any ICMR/NIN centers across India.
