ICMR NIE Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (As on 14 August 2025)
- Assistant: 18 to 30 years
- UDC & LDC: 18 to 27 years
- Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms
Educational Qualifications
- Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline + MS Office knowledge
- UDC: Bachelor’s degree + Typing speed (35 w.p.m. English / 30 w.p.m. Hindi)
- LDC: 12th pass + Typing speed (35 w.p.m. English / 30 w.p.m. Hindi)
ICMR NIE Selection Process
The selection stages for all posts are:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 100 marks
- Skill/Proficiency Test – Qualifying in nature
- Experience Weightage – Up to 5 marks
- Final Merit List – Based on CBT + Experience (if skill test is cleared)

- Computer: MS Office, Internet, Operating System, IT in governance
- Maths: Profit & loss, time & work, percentage, data interpretation
ICMR NIE Salary
The salary for each post is based on 7th CPC Pay Levels:
