Eligibility Criteria for IBPS SO Recruitment 2025
Candidates applying for IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment must meet the following criteria:
Nationality/Citizenship
Applicants must be Indian citizens or meet the nationality conditions outlined in the IBPS SO Notification 2025.
Age Limit
As per IBPS SO Notification 2025, the age limit is 20 to 30 years as on July 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.
Educational Qualifications
Educational qualifications vary by post:
- IT Officer: B.E./B.Tech in relevant streams or Postgraduate in IT-related subjects.

For IT Officer, HR Officer, Agriculture Officer, and Marketing Officer:

For Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari:

Main Exam Structure
- For most posts: 60 questions on Professional Knowledge (60 marks, 45 minutes).
- For Rajbhasha Adhikari: Objective (45 questions) + Descriptive (2 questions) on Professional Knowledge.
IBPS SO Selection Process 2025: Step-by-Step
The selection process under IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment consists of:
- Online Preliminary Examination

IBPS Specialist Officer Salary Structure
The IBPS SO Recruitment 2025 offers attractive salary packages. The pay scale for Scale I Specialist Officers is:
₹48,480–1,46,920 (including all increments and allowances). Officers are also entitled to various perks like HRA, DA, medical benefits, and performance-based incentives as per bank policies.
IBPS SO Interview & Final Allotment Process
Shortlisted candidates from the Main Examination will be called for an Interview. The interview will carry 100 marks, and the qualifying marks are 40% for general and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of the Main Exam and Interview (in 80:20 ratio).
