Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat HC Legal Assistant
Educational Qualification:-
- Must be a law graduate with minimum 55% marks from any UGC-recognized university.
Students in final year of LLB (3 or 5 years course) can also apply, but must pass the final exam before joining.
Other Skills:-
- Must know basic computer operations.
- Must be familiar with the Gujarati language.
Age Limit:-
- Must be 26 years or younger as of 19 May 2025.

- Click on “Apply Online” and fill out the application form with your correct details.
- Upload your photo, signature, and any required documents.
- Submit the form and take a printout for your records.
Documents Needed- (Keep these ready if selected)
- Final law degree mark sheets/certificate
- Proof of computer knowledge
- Character certificates from 2 professionals (recently issued)
- ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.)
- Printed application and payment receipt
Application Fee-
- ₹500/- + Bank Charges
- Pay through SBI e-Pay at the HC-OJAS Portal.
Gujarat HC Legal Assistant Selection Process
Written Test (MCQs) – 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 hours
- Language: English
- Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
Subjects-
- Constitution of India
- Civil & Criminal Laws (New Bharatiya Sanhitas included)
- Contract, Property, Evidence, Limitation Acts
- General Knowledge
- English, Computer, and IQ
Candidates scoring 50% or more will be called for interview.
Viva-Voce (Interview) – 50 Marks:
- Must score at least 50% in the interview to be considered.
