The CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat, has released the official notification for the recruitment of Technical Assistant and Technician(1) posts.

CSIR NIEST TA and Technician eligibility 2025
Technical Assistant:-
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc./Diploma in relevant disciplines such as IT, Computer Science, Life Science, Chemistry, Physics, Civil Engineering, etc. with at least 60% marks and relevant experience (1-2 years).
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (as on 6 June 2025). Age relaxation applicable as per government norms.
Technician:-
- Educational Qualification: SSC/10th with Science and either an ITI certificate or equivalent experience (2–3 years) in trades like Electrician, Plumbing, Welder, Masonry, Computer Programming.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (as on 6 June 2025). Relaxation applicable as per rules.

- Visit the official website: https://www.neist.res.in
- Click on the “Recruitment” tab and select the appropriate advertisement.
- Register with a valid email ID and phone number.
- Fill the application form with accurate personal, educational, and experience details.
- Upload required documents.
- Pay the application fee through State Bank Collect.
- Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

CSIR NIEST selection process 2025
Stage 1 :– Trade Test:
- Conducted for all shortlisted candidates.
Stage 2 :– Competitive Written Examination:
- Paper I: Mental Ability Test (No negative marks)
- Paper II: General Awareness and English Language (Negative marking applicable)
- Paper III: Concerned Subject knowledge (Negative marking applicable)
Final merit will be based on marks obtained in Paper II & III only.
