Coir Board Recruitment 2025 Details
The Coir Board has released an official notification for the engagement of Technical and Project Staff on a contractual basis.The recruitment is for its two premier R&D institutes — Central Coir Research Institute (CCRI), Alleppey, Kerala, and Central Institute of Coir Technology (CICT), Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Coir Board eligibility criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience:-
- Engineering/Technical Roles: B.Tech/Diploma in Textile, Mechanical, Polymer, or Electrical with experience ranging from 2 to 5 years.
- Trade Posts (Fitter, Welder, Electrician, etc.): ITI in the relevant trade with minimum 4 years’ experience.
- Chemistry/Biotech Roles: M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biotechnology with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Other Posts: Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant fields with experience (e.g., B.Design from NID/NIFT, M.Sc in Library Science, M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering).
Age Limit and Relaxation:-
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years (as on 01.06.2025)
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- HRA will be applicable based on location classification (10% for Alleppey; 30% for Bangalore as per 7th CPC norms).

- Fill in the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) with all relevant information.
- Upload all required documents:
- Certificates of qualifications and experience
- Age and identity proof
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Submit the form by 5:30 PM on June 20, 2025
Coir Board selection process
Shortlisting based on educational qualifications and experience by a screening committee.
Interview for shortlisted candidates:
- CCRI Posts: Interview at Alleppey, Kerala
- CICT Posts: Interview at Bangalore, Karnataka
Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email and www.coirboard.gov.in.
Note: Waitlisted candidates may be considered for future project positions within one year from the date of interview.
