Botanical Survey of India Recruitment 2025
The Botanical Survey of India (BSI), under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has released an official notification for the BSI Junior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Field Assistant, Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant, and Data Entry Operator cum Accountant Recruitment 2025. The recruitment is for temporary positions on a contractual basis for a special project in the Great Nicobar Island.

BSI Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF):-
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany or Natural Science with at least 55% marks.
- Desirable: Field experience, taxonomy, computer, and GIS knowledge.
- Age Limit: Max 28 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women).
- Work: Plant surveys, data analysis, conservation tasks.
- Research Associate :-
- Qualification: Ph.D. in Botany/Natural Science with relevant specialization.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Andaman flora, research experience, GIS, and technical writing.
- Age Limit: Max 40 years.
- Work: Leading field research, documentation, and reporting.
- Field Assistant:-
- Qualification: 12th pass or B.Sc. in Botany.
- Desirable: Field sample collection experience, computer skills.
- Age Limit: Max 30 years.
- Work: Assist in fieldwork and plant conservation.
- Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant:-
- Qualification: 10th pass.
- Desirable: 3 years’ garden maintenance experience.
- Age Limit: Max 35 years.
- Work: Plant collection, nursery, and conservatory work.
- Data Entry Operator cum Accountant:-
- Qualification: Graduate in Commerce or Diploma in Computer/Accounting.
- Desirable: 3 years’ relevant experience, computer skills.
- Age Limit: Max 35 years.
- Work: Maintain accounts, project data, and assist the team.
