Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025 Details

The High Court of Judicature at Bombay, including its Benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad, has released an official notification inviting applications for the post of Resource Personnel. The recruitment is purely contractual and is open exclusively to retired officers of the Bombay High Court, for a fixed term of one year.

Bombay High Court Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a retired Section Officer, Assistant Registrar, Personal Assistant, or Private Secretary of the Bombay High Court.
  • Should not have been compulsorily retired, prematurely retired, removed, or dismissed from service.
  • Preference will be given to officers who worked in the Judicial Wing.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit.
  • Must not have any pending or proposed departmental inquiry.
  • Maximum age limit: 65 years as on the date of application.
Nature of Work:-

Scrutiny of old pending matters to determine:

  • Whether the cause of action still survives (e.g., educational admissions, conditional orders).
  • Whether connected trial court proceedings are pending.
  • Identifying infructuous matters and segregating them.
  • Assisting the Registrar (Judicial) in tasks related to reducing pendency of cases.

Assignments will be under the supervision of:

  • Registrar (Judicial-I) for the Principal Seat, Bombay.
  • Registrar (Judicial) for Nagpur and Aurangabad benches.

Bombay High Court Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted and called for a personal interview.
  • Interviews will be conducted at the candidate’s own expense.
  • Selection is purely on merit basis.
Salary and Pay Structure:-
  • The monthly salary will be based on the Basic Pension (excluding commutation) plus Dearness Allowance applicable at the time of appointment.
  • Salary once fixed will remain unchanged for the duration of the contract.
  • The pay is determined in line with the Government of Maharashtra’s Resolution dated 17.12.2016 and 08.09.2023.
Tenure and Contract Terms:-
  • Appointment will be purely on contract for a one-year period, extendable annually up to a maximum of three years.
  • Candidates may resign with one month’s notice or payment of one month’s salary.
  • The Chief Justice retains the authority to terminate the contract at any time without notice or compensation if performance is unsatisfactory.
  • Appointees will not be considered regular employees.
