Selection will be purely based on merit calculated using:
- 50% marks from 10th Class (aggregate)
- 50% marks from ITI in relevant trade
In case of a tie in marks:
- Older candidate preferred
- If same age, earlier matriculation pass-out is preferred

Age Limit
Minimum Age: 15 years
Maximum Age: 24 years (as on closing date)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: Up to 10 years (as per service)
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10th Class (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks
- Must possess ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT
- Engineering graduates/diploma holders are not eligible
Railway SWR Apprentice Training Period & Stipend
- Training Period: 1 Year for all trades
- Stipend: As per Railway Board norms
- No hostel accommodation will be provided
