The Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the Agniveer MR (Musician) 02/2025 batch. Online applications are now open for unmarried male and female candidates for enrolment as Agniveer (Musician). The registration process has begun on July 5, 2025 and will continue till July 13, 2025.

Indian Navy Musician Agniveer 2025 Notification Out
This Agniveer MR (Musician) intake is part of the Indian Navy’s effort to induct candidates with musical talent into the force. The selection will be based on musical ability and performance in physical and medical examinations.

Eligibility Criteria for Join the Indian Navy as Agniveer MR
Nationality & Marital Status
- Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
- Candidates must remain unmarried during the four-year engagement period.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be born between 01 September 2004 to 29 February 2008 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
- Passed Matriculation (Class 10) examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
Musical Ability
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in tempo, pitch, and the ability to sing a full song
- Practical skills on any musical instrument of Indian or foreign origin
- Aptitude in tuning, matching notes, sight reading (Indian Classical, Staff, Tabulature), and basic music theory
Eligible Instruments
- Proficiency in Keyboard, String, and Wind instruments is accepted.
- Instruments with indefinite pitch like Jazz Drums, Cymbals, Bugle etc. are not eligible.
Musical Certification
- Hindustani/Carnatic musicians must have certificates from reputed institutions.
- Candidates with Western music background must hold certificates from recognized boards like Trinity College of Music (London).
- Participation certificates from music competitions are also accepted.

The selection is based on the following stages:
1. Shortlisting
- Based on marks obtained in matriculation and valid music certificates
- In case of tie, older candidates will be preferred Join the Indian Navy as Agniveer MR
2. Recruitment Process
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Music Ability Test
- Medical Examination

- Final medical held at INS Chilka
- Visual Standard: Uncorrected – 6/12, Corrected – 6/6
- Height: Minimum 157 cm for both genders
- Tattoos allowed only on inner forearms and dorsal side of hand
Final Selection & Merit List
The final merit list will be based solely on performance in the Music Ability Test. It will be declared by end of August or early September 2025 and published on the candidate’s dashboard on the official website.
