The DRDO RAC Scientist B Recruitment 2025 has been officially released for 148 vacancies in DRDO, ADA, and other establishments under the Ministry of Defence. Interested and eligible graduate engineers and postgraduates in Science disciplines can apply online at the official RAC website  within 21 days from the date of advertisement publication in the Employment News.

DRDO Scientist B Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:-

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.

Educational Qualification:-

• Engineering Disciplines: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline + Valid GATE score.
• Science Disciplines: First Class Master’s Degree in relevant discipline + Valid GATE score.
• Final year students expecting first class can apply, but must submit proof by 31st July 2025.

Age Limit (as on application closing date):-

• UR/EWS: Max 35 years
• OBC (NCL): Max 38 years
• SC/ST: Max 40 years
• PwBD: Relaxation up to 10 years
• Central Govt. Employees & Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. norms

• Valid GATE scorecard and result screenshot

Shortlisting via GATE Score:-

• Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio based on discipline-wise and category-wise merit.

Personal Interview:-

• Will be held at Delhi or other locations as decided by RAC.
• Final selection will be based on:
  • 80% weightage to GATE Score
  • 20% weightage to Interview

Qualifying Marks in Interview:-

• UR: 70%
• EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD: 60%

DRDO Scientist B Salary 2025

The salary is offered at Level-10 of the 7th Pay Commission:-

• Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100/-
• Total Monthly Emoluments: ~Rs. 1,00,000/- (including HRA and allowances at metro city rates)
